Pirate Jim's Aloha Tuesday Newsletter - July 11, 2017

Aloha kakou! Pehea'oe? Maika'i au. How are you? I am good.

Yesterday I had a brain MRI. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but strangely enough, it was very relaxing. I thought it would be strange to be in that closed tube for 30 mins, but the sounds the MRI machine makes sounded a lot like the sounds my sound therapy app makes. The sounds were so relaxing that I dozed off a few times and I was worried my mouth would fall open and mess up the MRI pictures. Luckily that didn't happen. After about 20 minutes being inside the MRI tube, the nurse came in to put some dye into my bloodstream. I was not excited about this, I hate needles, but it only stung for a few minutes. I will hear the results in about a week, so keep your fingers crossed. 2 out of 4 tests done so far. CT scan was clear, so hopefully, the MRI will as well.

- We are no longer recording audio during our trip to Kaua'i. The recording of our songs will be done here in Calgary. We will still create a music video for one of the songs and the " behind the scenes" movie will be now become part of the documentary web series.

- Pirate Jim's Ukulele Posse will be performing in around Calgary throughout the summer and fall. Some of these performances will be filmed for the documentary series. Watch for show announcements in the coming weeks and to be an extra, crew or part of the studio audience.
